Forrest Solis

Founder, Producer and Interviewer

Forrest Solis is an Associate Professor in the School of Art and is an active professional artist, represented by Galleri Urbane in Dallas/Marfa TX, Sugarman-Peterson Gallery in Santa Fe NM, Gebert Contemporary Gallery in Scottsdale AZ. Solis’ paintings have been exhibited regionally and nationally in solo exhibitions, group exhibitions, juried exhibitions and at major Art Fairs in Miami and Dallas. Ashley Czajkowski

Audio Technician and Story Editor

Ashley Czajkowski earned a Bachelor’s of Fine Art in photography in 2009 from Emporia State University in Kansas and received her Master’s of Fine Art in photography in 2015 from Arizona State Universtiy. She is currently making work and teaching in Tempe, Arizona, where she also serves as the Assistant Curator of Tilt Gallery. Ashley Czajkowski is a photography-based artist working in a number of interdisciplinary methods including printmaking, video and installation. Driven by her own experience, she explores social constructions related to childhood, femininity, and the psychological manifestation of and the human-animal. Czajkowski evokes methods of symbolism and storytelling to explore these themes in her work.

Rosalind Shipley

Podcast Creator and Host

Rosalind Shipley received her BFA in Photography and Art History from Maryland Institute College of Art in 2000 and her MFA in Studio Art from Arizona State University in 2013. Shilpey is an artist who explores femininity, gender dynamics, and sexuality through photography, writing, and music. Her work has been exhibited nationally at venues including the Kinsey Institute in Bloomington, IN, and her writing on photography has been published in the Journal of the Society for Industrial Archeology.

Kyle Larkin

Web Design and Development

Kyle Larkin is a partner at the Phoenix based web design studio Extra Small Design. He serves as Vice President of AIGA Arizona, and is a Faculty Associate in The Design School at Arizona State University.

Kim Larkin

Communications and Marketing Coordinator

Kim Larkin is a creative consultant, curator, and professional idea agitator. Through her consultancy, MXD Arts, she works with ambitious organizations, businesses, and individuals to create strategic and effective solutions that advance and integrate art, community, and social causes. She has directed five arts businesses, curated over thirty exhibitions, and managed multiple national and international projects. Kim holds a masters degree in Arts Management from Carnegie Mellon University, a B.A. in Art History from the University of Utah, and certification as a Project Management Professional from the Project Management Institute. She sits on the Monarch Council at Art Advisory Committee at the Desert Botanical Garden served for two years as Vice President of the Board for Roosevelt Row CDC, a nonprofit community development organization.

Cora Fox

Research Collaborator

Cora Fox is an Associate Professor in the Department of English and the Associate Director of the Institute for Humanities Research. Currently working on a book on the history and political deployment of the concept of well-being, Fox is the facilitator of the medical humanities initiative at the Institute for Humanities Research. She also has a special interest in creating interdisciplinary research connections, and she has developed research networks in medical humanities at ASU as well as the Mayo Clinic in Arizona.

Catherine A. Johnson-Roehr

Research Collaborator

Catherine A. Johnson-Roehr is the Curator of Art, Artifacts and Photographs at the Kinsey Institute for Research in Sex, Gender and Reproduction. In 2010, Catherine helped organized a show titled “Nature & Nurture” at the Kinsey Institute that featured photographs, paintings, prints, sculpture, and other artworks depicting pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding, and parent/child interactions.

Mark Tebeau

Research Collaborator

Mark Tebeau directs Public History at ASU.  His research and scholarship crosses the fields of urban history, public history, digital humanities, and oral history. As a public historian and digital humanist, Tebeau has nearly a decade of experience exploring and organizing oral history onto a digital landscape.

Rose Weitz

Research Collaborator

Rose Weitz is Professor of Women and Gender Studies within ASU’s School of Social Transformation. Her research centers on issues related to women, health, sexuality, and the body. She is co-author of the book Labor Pains: Modern Midwives and Home Birth, author of the book Rapunzel’s Daughters: What Women’s Hair Tells Us About Women’s Lives, and editor of the book The Politics of Women’s Bodies: Appearance, Sexuality, and Behavior.

Jacque Wernimont

Jacque Wernimont, Assistant Professor, Department of English. Prof. Wernimont specializes in the digital humanities with a focus on gender and technology. Prof. Wernimont teaches and writes on fetal imagery and the rhetoric of personhood.
